During 11-12 March 2010 National Accreditation Agency carried out a regular audit of the conformity of activity of Personnel Certification Body in the field of nondestructive testing ZAO "UkrNIINK Ltd." (PCB "UkrNIINK Ltd.", certificate of accreditation № 6O012 January 17, 2008) to the requirements of standards ISO / IEC 17024 and EN 473:2008, and the audit in connection with expanding of the scope of activity in the Radiographic testing (RT) and Acoustic Emission (AT). Audit was led by the chief auditor of NAAU Chekalin Andrey, member of the audit team consisted of the NAAU expert Kazakevich Michael. The representatives of PCB "UkrSRINDT" and within its certification system TC "Ultracon-Service and ECNDT" Promprylad" took part in audit.
Audit of PCB "UkrSRINDT" was conducted in accordance with approved plan and included an audit of all the elements of activity of both the PCB and its subcontractors. The audition process also conducted surveillance of the qualification examination procedure of Acoustic Emission (AT) (general, special and practical tests). Practical test for Acoustic Emission (AT) was performed on the new teaching and examination bench, developed and manufactured by NVF "Ultracon-Service" and NVF "Promprylad" for training and examination of personnel in the acoustic emission. Feature of the bench is that the sources of acoustic emission in the examination specimens are generated by using a simulator of AE signals on a specially designed program simulating the activity of AE sources in accordance with the actual conditions of loading of different objects (pressure vessels, hoisting machines, pipelines, etc). Using the AE signal simulator, allows to significantly expand set of tasks for the practical test (i.e., a set of examination specimens).
The practical use of procedures for conducting examination in accordance with the requirements of standard EN 473:2008 and the quality system of PCB "UkrSRINDT" was demonstrated by the Examiner – Galanenko Denis and the candidate – Zelinskiy Maxim during the observation.

Practical test of Acoustic Emission (AT)

The exam is held on the bench, consisting of two full-sized specimens of products (sheet and tube), AE signals which are using a generator-simulator GIAE-001. The transducers of simulator are set in by examiner or person responsible for realization of the examination on the inside of the tube and/or closed side form the candidate of the sheet in accordance with task for the exam (categorized variant). Detection of AE sources, their localization, data collection and analysis is carried out by the candidate with the help of a complex for Acoustic Emission "GALS-1". The candidate also chooses the number and hookup of transducers for data collection and set the complex in conformity with received task.

Full-scale specimens: tube: D=800(mm), L=3300(mm) and sheet: 1500x2000(mm), resting on vibratory bearings.

The candidate Zelinskiy Maxim is setting up the transducers on the testing specimen in accordance with choosing scheme. The action of the candidate is being observed by the Examiner – Galanenko Denis, the chief auditor of NAAU – Chekalin Andrey and the expert of NAAU – Kazakevich Michael.

The candidate is setting the complex "GALS-1" for realization of examinational task.

Generally, the audit of the conformity of activity of PCB "UkrSRINDT" to the requirements of standards ISO / IEC 17024 and EN 473:2008, and the audit in connection with expanding of the scope of PCB activity ended with positive result.
